Derby sponsorships support the Y Cares Financial Assistance Program, which enable us to keep a powerful promise to the communities we serve: no one will be turned away from a Y program or activity because he or she can’t pay.  In 2018 alone, the Rye Y awarded over $411,000 in financial assistance to individuals and families in need. Thanks to our Y Cares program, children can thrive at summer camp.  Working parents can afford safe, nurturing childcare. And seniors can maintain their health through subsidized memberships.

Proceeds from the Derby also support the Rye Y’s community initiatives, which include pedestrian safety, senior health and fitness, chronic disease prevention and LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, to name a few.
