FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: Do I need to be a member of the Y to participate in the hunt? A: No, the Rye Y Scavenger Hunt is open to anyone who registers. Q: How many people can I have on my team? A: In order to compete in the hunt, each team must have at least 4 players but no more than 6. And one person must be 18 years or older. Q: How physically demanding is the hunt? A: The hunt will require your team to race around the Downtown area in a limited amount of time. Some clues will even require the group to complete a physical task. Each team can move as slowly or quickly as they want but the entire team must be together in order to start any given task. Q: Do I need to bring anything with me? A: Each team should have one Smartphone for photo questions. Q: Will hunt registrations be accepted on-site? A: No, we will not accept any registrations after September 19, 2014. There are a limited number of teams allowed so register early. Q: What happens if it rains? A: The hunt is a rain or shine event. Please dress accordingly. Q; How long with the hunt last? A: Check in starts at 2:00pm. The hunt starts at 2:30 and ends at 3:45pm. Q: What do I get for participating in the hunt? A: Each team member will receive a bandana to wear during the hunt and a tote bag from All Paws. There will also be a post hunt party in the Rye Y parking lot with music, pizza and snacks for sale. Q: Where do I park if I'm in the hunt or if I have friends coming to support me? A: Limited parking is available in the Rye Y lot. Parking is available in the municipal lots in downtown Rye. And parking is free on Sundays! Q: Some of my friends want to watch the hunt, is that allowed? A: YES! We encourage everyone to bring along their own cheering squad. Q: What do I need to study before the hunt? A: No previous knowledge is required: You just need a sharp mind and comfy shoes. The best teams quickly learn that they must use the strengths of everyone in the group.
